A Passion for Video Games

Founder of GamePawnshop.com, Casey Fenn
Thats me, the founder of GamePawnshop.com, Casey Fenn

I don’t remember much from the first five years of my life but I do remember this: the NES was freaking amazing. Super Mario Bros., DuckTales, Megaman, and Zelda whispered sweetly to me – like beautiful 8-bit sirens – and called for me to spend just one more minute in front of the TV. Just one more try. One more life. I was hooked. And I couldn’t get enough.

As I grew older, my love for games didn’t diminish – in spite of what everyone said. “You’ll grow out of it. It’s just a phase,” they said. Meanwhile, I was too busy saving the world from Lavos and Kefka to either listen or care.

It wasn’t just a phase. It was a passion.

And it still is. Though I don’t get the chance to play nearly as much as I did back when I was a teenager. I still love checking out the latest games and revisiting the classics. In fact, it’s such a passion that I decided I’d turn it into a job a few years ago. That’s when I started GamePawnshop.com.

You see, I got tired of selling my used games to places like GameStop for pennies on the dollar – or not even being able to find a place to sell them because “we don’t accept retro games.” And I thought to myself, “You know, Casey, if you’re tired of this, other people probably are too.” So I did something about it.

I got on GoDaddy, bought the domain name ‘gamepawnshop.com’, and started advertising. And something happened. People actually sold me their games.

It was a win-win-win. One gamer got more money than he would’ve by selling to the other guys. Another gamer got a new game to play. And I made a little cash. What’s not to love, right?

Mission: Make Selling Games Easy and Valuable

I want GamePawnshop.com to be the place place for you to sell your used video games. Look, I know how easy it is to get ripped off by brick-and-mortar stores as well as online sites. I understand the feeling of beating an amazing game and then being told that I can either trade it in for $3.00 or get $7.50 in store credit. I also know the risks and hassles that go along with trying to sell games on eBay or through Craigslist.

Trust me, I know how you feel!

So, we’re daring to be different. We want to give you the best possible price for your used games. And not only that – we want to get your cash to you as fast as possible so you can do what you love: buy new games! Stop worrying about auctions and low buy-back prices!

Let us show you the GamePawnshop difference!
